The title might sound mysterious, but it actually involves cause and effect, grounded in reason. Allow me to explain step by step.
Where to Begin?
Let's start with intuition. Have you ever wondered where intuition comes from?
Using today’s generative AI as an analogy, imagine the human body as an ultra-precise quantum robot. After receiving information through sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and mind, this robot starts processing. It begins to analyze autonomously.
Drawing on past experiences and knowledge, and perhaps even memories from previous lives, it calculates the most likely outcome, producing results that seem impossible to reach purely through logic and conscious thought.
But is it really outside the realm of logic?
No. It’s still logical thinking—just at a speed so fast that it feels like a divine revelation or some cosmic message. Although it may resemble these phenomena, there’s a subtle difference.
It’s not that such insights don’t exist—they do. But most people cannot distinguish between what arises from within and what comes from outside.
Why is the processing speed so different? This involves the concept of quantum computing, which I am not an expert in, but those interested can seek out specialists in the field.

The Mind’s Ability to Recognize Itself
How is intuition related to our mind's ability to recognize itself? Here’s another question: why can we sense others' joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness as well as our own?
If you haven’t had that “aha” moment yet, that’s okay—it’s normal. It simply means the cause for understanding hasn’t fully matured.
The starting point of all emotions and behaviors is the mind. In previous writings, I briefly discussed wholesome and unwholesome thoughts and how they shape actions, regardless of whether they are directed at others. The outside world simply reacts to these mental states, responding accordingly.
The world is a projection of our own hearts—one thought can create heaven, another can create hell. When we’re in a good mood, everything looks agreeable; when our mood sours, even our closest friends seem like enemies.
It’s all rooted in cause and effect.
So, what can we do with this ability to recognize the mind? There are many applications, but that’s not my focus here.
All I want to emphasize is: don’t assume others are unaware of what you’re thinking. The mind isn’t locked away. Often, others choose not to mention what they sense. The saying “spirits dwell three feet above your head” isn’t just words.
Many of my own scattered thoughts have been exposed by respected mentors, especially if they involve wrong views or obstacles in cultivation. Such thoughts are absolutely scrutinized.
Sometimes, my heart isn’t prepared to face this, so I withdraw. After some time, feelings of remorse arise, prompting me to reflect on how to improve. Eventually, remorse fades, and once again, old habits and vexations take hold.
This cycle repeats itself.
One day, I finally understood: these respected individuals are simply fulfilling their roles—like the wind blowing, like the fire burning.
Gradually, bit by bit, I learned to accept the world (or my own mind). Slowly, bit by bit, I began to reshape my mind.
May everyone be happy and free from suffering.
